ACCOMMODATION RULE AND CONTRACT

On Reservation

1. The guest is required to keep accommodation rule and contract. It is regarded that the guest has agreed the accommodation rule and contract when he/she has made a reservation for our accommodation facilities.
2. A reservation for accommodation is to be accepted by two days before the accommodation day.
3. After final confirmation, if the guest fails to make the payment within 48hours, the reservation request will expire automatically.
4. When the guest checks out before his/her scheduled time of departure, neither accommodation charges nor cleaning fees can be refunded.
5. Babies and little children of two years or younger need no accommodation charges. In this case, neither bedding nor amenities can be provided. A free baby bed shall be available, if requested in advance.

On Cancellation

1. Cancellation charges should be paid when the guest has cancelled his/her reservation for accommodation after 28 days prior to the accommodation day.
2. The remainder, if any, shall be refunded after levying a money transfer fee.
3. In the case of refund, we will transfer the amount deducting the transfer fee and credit card commision fee.
   When the cancellation for his/her reservation for accommodation is noticed 28 days to 14 days prior to accommodation day, 50 percent of the accommodation charges should be paid by the guest. Cleaning fees shall be refunded.
   When the cancellation for his/her reservation for accommodation is noticed 13 days to 1 day prior to accommodation day, 100 percent of the accommodation charges should be paid by the guest. Cleaning fees shall be refunded.
   When the cancellation for his/her reservation for accommodation is noticed on the accommodation day, 100 percent of the accommodation charges should be paid by the guest. Cleaning fees shall not be refunded.
   When no show of the cancellation for his/her reservation for accommodation is noticed or if the guest voluntarily does not utilize the accommodation facilities provided for him/her, 100 percent of accommodation charges should be paid by him/her. Cleaning fees shall not be refunded.

On Accommodation Tax

A tax has been imposed on accommodation in Kyoto City since 1 Oct. 2018. The guest is asked to pay the tax, when he/she checks in. The tax is not included in the total amount of accommodation charges. The accommodation tax is assessed for one guest for one stay as follows:

1. When accommodation charges are less than 20,000 yen, the tax is 200 yen.
2. When accommodation charges are 20,000 yen or more and less than 50,000yen, the tax is 500 yen.
3. When accommodation charges are 50,000 yen and over, the tax is 1,000 yen.

Four quests for three night stays with the accommodation charges less than 20,000 yen for one guest for one night stay, for example, are required to pay 2,400 yen as the tax.
4 guests × 3 night stays × 200 yen = 2,400 yen


The tax is to be paid to Kyoto City for the substantial policy for better tourism.
